Has anyone ever cleared up plaque psoriasis?
Q: I’ve had plaque psoriasis on my legs arm and scalp for a long time now. Its now growing on my back and slowly on my forearms and i’m really worried. Its hard to cover up the forearm thats why. A: Hi David LPsorias may be connected with Vitamin D deficiency. Here are some ideas for both an internal and an external approach. Many people who find that their condition gets better when they spend plenty of time in the sun get relief in the winter by going to a tanning salon and using the UVB booth. Others have found other ways to get UVB treatment at home without prescription such as buying UVB lights meant for reptiles kept as pets. Since your psoriasis is mostly on your extremities, that might be a good solution for you.The Vitamin D Council is a good site to find out more about how much Vitamin D3 to take internally during the parts of the year when you don’t get enough sunshine. They will also provide information about how to be properly tested to see whether you’re Vitamin D deficient. The combination of salt water and UVB (simulated beach!) seems to work especially well for some. Either regular cooking salt or epsom salts are effective when dissolved in a tub full of water. Finally, while researching gallbladder and liver problems I came across studies which found that taking bile salts to aid digestion can help psoriasis. That would make sense from the standpoint that a diseased or sluggish liver can often manifest itself in various skin conditions.I hope that helps some!Good luck!
I have plaque psoriasis, does desoximetasone and triamcinolone creams work the same?
Q: I was first prescribed desoximetasone, which seemed to work good, however was very expensive. I was then prescribed triamcinolona cream, and I was wondering if anyone know if one was better or what. Thanks!
A: Desoximetasone is a higher-potency corticosteroid than triamcinolone, but triamcinolone may provide just as much relief. You generally obtain the best results with “combination therapy”, when you use a topical corticosteroid along with a medication like salicylic acid and or a vitamin D cream (calcipotriene). However, phototherapies are more effective than drugs and have fewer side effects than most systemic agents. In a 2000 analysis comparing psoriasis treatments, an advanced phototherapy called narrow band UVB achieved the highest complete clearance rate (86% of patients).Good luck!
I have plaque psoriasis on my penis, could it be causing the odor that is emanating from around my foreskin?
Q: My wife’s pap smear came up clean so, I guess it’s not the any of the usual suspects (yeast, etc.) I keep it cleaner than ever but, it still gets gooey and smells. BTW I am circumsized. Thanks for the great answers guys, much appreciated.
A: Male Genital Odors (MGO) affects men of different ages. It is more likely to occur to men who are not circumcised, due to the moist environment between the foreskin and the glans, which is a favorable ground for development of fungi cells. NodorO™ targets the micro-fungi called tinea corporis that may be causing your MGO. However, MGO can also happen to men who are circumcised. this product worked within 2 days application. Women have ALL SORTS of products on the market to care for feminine hygiene. This new product is a small miracle for very clean men who shower and wash daily but cant understand why, within hours, they are ‘not so fresh”. The simple answer is, that soap and water do not completely kill what causes the odor. I discovered this product while listening to an advertisment on the Howard Stern show.Ladies tell your boyfriends and husbands and sons about the product. (i am not affliated with the company, and this is NOT SPAM…just a happy customer who is now squeaky clean and odor free all day long). Guys, tell your buds about it. If you workout and just get a little sweaty in that area, you will remain fresh becuase that particular fungai/bacteria that produces the characteristic and unmistakable odor has been destroyed. good luck guy.
