A: Hi Zorro.. Cysts have not been proven to effect the baby, although some doctors do think if the cyst is close enough to the baby it can cause a miscarriage.. I had a cyst right next to my baby and I ended up losing the baby last year but they wouldn’t tell me if it was indeed from the cyst or if it was something else because it was only my second miscarriage and most doctors won’t look for a problem until you’ve had 3 miscarriages.

A: I had a cyst removed from my right ovary In 1998. The Doctor made two, one inch incisions in my abdomen.. And it(cyst) was about the size of a small orange. The took it to the lab while I was on the table. If it had been cancerous, they would have removed my uterus and ovaries also. But it was benign and I was sent home that afternoon. Healed up with no complications, no pain. Had a couple of stitches out, one week later. Now I can no longer see where the incision was made. I went in that morning and had it out an hour later. Just do not eat anything from 6 in the evening until the operation.
