My left eye has an astigmatism but my right eye is nearly perfect, would this lead to bad depth perception?
Q: My left eye has an astigmatism while my right eye is nearly perfect. This often leads me to focusing only with my dominant right eye having to actually think about it to focus with both. When diagnosed with an astigmatism, does your contacts lenses prescription get weaker?
Q: I have -5.25 vision in my left eye and -5.00 in my right eye. Recently I went to the eye doctor and they told me I have a slight astigmatism in my right eye so my contact lens was corrected. I just picked up the box and I’m confused as to why my right eye’s prescription was changed down to -4.50. Is this suppose to happen? If so, why would they make my right eye’s lens weaker if it has an astigmatism?
A: I actually asked a question about my asigmatism. If you’re getting hard contacts, I don’t think they’d change your prescription, but if you get soft contact lenses it’s hard to get it to shape to the eye a certain way… I’m not sure exactly, but that’s the best answer I can give. 🙂
