What is iron deficiency, and what happens to your body?
Q: Just curious, and thank you for answering.
A: I have the exact opposite problem..a condition called Hereditary Hemochromatosis..before I was diagnosed, Dr thought I was anemic..(or iron deficient)..what it means is, the body has low iron which makes the blood thin..and causes tiredness, among other things…my condition has almost the exact same “symptoms” (when there are any) since too much iron makes the blood VERY thick, and therefore also makes you very tired….just as too much iron affects the organs, so does not enough. You can become very, very sick, and even die from not enough iron…
