What does this lower back pain mean?
Q: I have been working out and have always had minor lower back pain but nothing really painfull just when I use my back to lift heavy objects rather than using my legs. But now my back pain has turned into being really painfull. I have a constant throbbing of pain in my lower back and when I sit for long periods of time and then get up it feels stiff and holy s***t is it sore! Also while I am sitting or even standing to stretch my hamstrings and I lean forward I feel deep pain in my lower back as if a knife was goin through it. Now I already have an appointment for a doctors visit but based on what I have said here and going off of your past back pains what does this mostly sound like? It never use to be this bad. I use to be able to move around, run, jump, quick turns but now it just hurts way too bad. Could this be a bad lower back muscle pull or does it sound like something more and worst case maybe needs surgery. All your thoughts are greatly appreciate. Thanks
A: it sounds like the pain may be muscular in nature. try stretching your back. lay on your stomach, leave your hips on the floor and do a sort of push up- it’s called a curl up- your spine should kind of curl. remember to keep your hips on the floor. also, you could try stretching backwards over an exercise ball. Most back problems that require surgery don’t cause pain in the back- usually the pain is in the legs. Still, I would get checked by a doctor just to make sure- it could be something serious.
I have lower back pain and my doctor says my white blood cell count is high what does that mean?
Q: She gave me Daypro and Cipro and said it might be a kidney infection. I think its a little more than that. What does it mean if you have lower back pain and my urine says my white blood cell count is high. I have absolutely no other symptoms. Any suggestions to what it is? Please help….I’m very confused and I really want to know what’s wrong with me.
A: it sounds exactly like a kidney infection. remember your kidneys are in lower back area, underneath your ribs. the high white cell count means there is an infection in your body, and it is multyiplying to try and kill it. be gratefull your only symptom is low back pain, it could be MUCH worse. ive seen people end up in the hospital, because if not treated it can affect your kidney function.
Does cervical pain during sex, lighter periods and near chronic lower back pain mean endometriosis?
Q: For starters, I am 26 yrs old, have 3 children, in good health-although overweight, am on the birth control pill, and in a great relationship, but I have a sexual issue as of late.Whenever my husband and I have sex, I end up having sharp pains in my cervix with every thrust. Over the past few months my period has been getting lighter and lighter; only spotted for 3-4 days last time. I have lower back pain practically every day when I get out of bed and quite often at night when I am crawling into bed. I have taken several pregnancy tests and all have came up with negative results.I need some help and answers here and it seems my research has been circling around endomteriosis. I was hoping someone out there had some idea of what may be happening to me.
A: I had the same symptoms and had endometriosis. i had a C-section with my child though. It was very painful. Your OB can do a laproscopic procedure that can fix you right up if thats the case. I don’t have pain anymore!
