When a corn snake excretes faeces on you does that mean they are comfortable with you?
Q: Snake pooping on you, what does it mean or is it just a myth that they like you when they do it?
A: I have had quite a few different species of snakes do this, and usually it just means they have to go. Sometimes being held when they aren’t used to it causes stress and they excrete because of it. Many snakes musk to warn you off, and it’s a theory that they do the same thing since corn snakes don’t musk. I honestly have never thought of it as a reference to them liking me… I always hate it when they do that cause then I have to clean it up!
Does it mean anything if my corn snake pooped on me!? I heard it is trying to defend itself and I also….?
Q: heard it means it likes you!! serious answers please
A: Pooping is a way a timid or possibly scared snake indicates it wants to be left alone. I have a milk snake that does it too if anyone else is around when I pick him up. Just wash yourself off and hold it calmly until it begins to relax. You may need to hold it at least 1-2 times a week if it continues to be poopy or nervous. My tortoise poops too but only when my sister comes over!I have a corn snake also but she’s a biter. I calm her down same as the milk snake until they are calm enough to hold and absorb your body heat, which many snakes like to do.
