Q: I’m 20 years old and have been drinking regularly since I was 18. I’ve been at uni for a year and a half now too, so have been going out and drinking fairly heavily about three or four nights a week. I usually drink eight or nine drinks a night (vodka drinks, cocktails and lagers).I’ve had no problems with my liver or anything (that I know of), but was wondering how much alcohol it would take to severly damage your liver… beyond no repair.
A: You won’t know about liver problems without a blood test for liver function. 100 units a week for 5 years and you will have severe liver damage, beyond repair, goodnight.
