What sorts of shirts would make me sweat less under my arms?
Q: Are there some fabrics that make your armpits sweat less?
A: All cotton is definitely better for that. Also, have you tried Secret Clinical Strength deodorant? It is supposed to be prescription strength. It is expensive $7-$8 for a small tube but it DOES help with sweating. There are other brands like Degree and Dove, too but I found the Secret to work the very best thought the other two work as well. The insturctions say to put it on the night before but I pout it on in the moring after my shower and it works great. Good luck. Stick with cotton or at the least, cotton blend. You can get under arm shields, too, that pin in but that kind of keeps you from flimsy fabrics.
Will coloring my hair a lighter color make it sweat less?
Q: I have dark brown, almost black relaxed hair. My scalp sweats alot, and it starts to smell sweaty after about 3 days. I can’t wash it though, because if I was my hair more often than once a week it gets dry. Especially since I have to flat iron it every time I wash it. Talk about damage! So I was thinking about getting a lighter color for my hair, because since black attracts and retains heats, maybe a lighter color will reflect the heat and make it sweat less….Because right now, my hair only stays great throught the winter. What do you think? Or what could I do to simply make it sweat less? Please keep in mind that I have relaxed hair people.I HAVE RELAXED HAIR, so I can ONLY wash my hair about once or twice a week! Come on now…
A: I don’t think the color would make a difference the tempeture and flat iron would. if you have thick hair maybe get it thinned?
When you drink more water does it make you sweat less?
Q: I heard that the water you take in levels off your body teperature and makes you sweat less, is this true?
A: This is a complex answer. You already know that sweating is your body’s way of cooling itself off. If you are working out you build your inner temp. If you maintain your level of resistance and increase your water intake your inner temp will lower. In return your body needs less sweat to cool itself off. However, your metabolism is working harder, so the excrement from the unused componets of the water need to be excreted, you may have to pee more often. Now, the longer you use your muscles (even though the weight may be the same) you are begining to exaust them. They become more tired and need more energy to work. They become hot and tired and start to burn the extra water you have intaken. Its a funny little cycle… leason being… work hard and drink lots of water… you will be fine.
