Q: how do you get rid of ulcers in your mouth? quickly, because i’m getting braces in a couple of days and want it gone by then?
A: This one REALLY hurts and makes your eyes water but it works.Lick your finger and dip it in salt then place the salt encrusted finger over the ulcer and push down, hold it there. Do this often and the ulcer will soon dissapear.
What causes stomach ulcers and how do you get rid of them naturally?
Q: I think I have an ulcer in my stomach, I looked up the symptoms and they seem to match mine, I really do not like having to have to take anything perscibed by a doctor who isn’t holistic. At the moment I don’t have the money to spend on a doctor of any type. Is there anything I can do here at home that will help heal it? Also, what can cause stomach ulcers?
A: Stomach ulcers can be serious. I highly suggest getting checked out by a doctor. I know money is a big issue for many people right now, but there are many things that can cause symptoms of an ulcer, and untreated ulcers can lead to more serious problems. If your symptoms persist, see someone. There are many factors that can contribute to ulcers: Smoking, alcohol consumption, irregular diet, and use of NSAIDs (asprin, ibuprofen). There’s thought that H.pylori (a bacteria) plays a role in ulcer development. A stomach ulcer is essentially acid creating sores in your stomach lining. Things that you can do at home are to stop smoking if you do, and to avoid alcohol. Eating yogurt can also help. However, you really do need to get this checked out, and treated.Antibiotics are commonly prescribed for H.pyloric stomach ulcers, and acid in the stomach should be reduced by another medication (usually a proton pump inhibitor or H2 blocker), I’m not very familiar with non-pharmacological options to treat ulcers.I don’t know what symptoms you’re having, your pain level, etc. You are the judge of when to get checked out, but if anything gets worse, be sure to go in!
What exactly causes ulcers and what conditions irritate them?
Q: I mean ulcers a general thing. But if that’s not possible to answer, maybe specific ones with their causes and what conditions irritate them and so forth.
A: Stomach ulcers are cause by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. These are a normal member of your stomach bacteria, but when they get overpopulated they can begin to wear through the natural mucus lining in your stomach which then causes your stomach acid to erode into your stomach lining which begins to cause pain. Skin ulcers are generally caused by a lack of blood supply to the skin such as in advanced diabetes. When pressure is applied such as in bedridden individuals this can accelerate the process. Bedsores are another name for these skin ulcers.
