are there any physical symtoms of prostate cancer ?
Q:
A: A lot of what people have already written is actually quite scary stuff to read. They are however right in saying that these are the symptoms of prostate cancer. What I would say to you is that if you are suffering from prostate problems (as par the symptoms already mentioned), you should not automatically think cancer. The symptoms listed are those of an enlarged prostate. In most cases the enlargement is known as BPH (Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy), in which the Benign bit tells you that the growth will not spread and is not cancer. Prostate enlargement does happen to a majority of men. In any case, if you are having trouble uriniating or are getting up a lot at night to urinate, go to your Doctor and get it checked. Don’t assume the worst but be aware that it could be cancer (and isn’t in most cases).Good luck!
SYMTOMS OF PROSTATE CANCER?
Q:
A: I am going through biopsies now due to increase in my PSA. It should be less then 0.5 for my age older then 50, but is about 7.0 now at 59. It starts with an enlarged prostate and urinary problems and then blood test for PSA. Then you are preferred to an urologist. The do exams including imagining, to see if that is the reason for the PSA increase. Then they take a biopsy and send it to the lab to see if you have the C word. Otherwise they can put on Cipro to help shrink the prostate.
