I had an ultrasound for symptoms of gall bladder pain. The tech said no stones but fat in liver?
Q: my doctor had me take an ultrasound of my abdomen area to check if I had stones. I had symptoms of gall bladder stones, but no jaundice as of yet
A: It’s possible to have gallbladder issues without stones, but generally they will right themselves if you get rid of some of the fat around your liver (either through losing some weight or diet changes). But that’s only if the fatty liver is causing the issues with the gallbladder.
How to prevent Gall Bladder symptoms?
Q: I have been suffering from gall bladder problems for about 3 years now. When it first started happening, I didn’t getting the vomiting so when I went to the ER because I seriously thought I was having a heart attack, the ER doctor said I had Pulisi (sorry, I can’t spell that), inflammation of the chest lining. Of course the minute I lose my health insurance, the symptoms worsened and the vomiting began. I ended up going to a “free” clinic of sorts, where they ran tests and said I did have gall bladder stones, and it really should be removed, but there is no way without my insurance to have it done.I have tried to keep it under control with diet. But I still get the flair ups about once a month or so. I can usually tell within about 5 minutes of eating something, if I’m going to have a flair up within that night.Last night I put my fork down and said, tonight is going to be one of those nights. So we are wondering if there is anything that can help reduce the pain.

Can you still have symptoms after gall bladder removal?
Q: About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with gall stones. For months before this, I had severe pains in my chest area between my breasts. I would sweat and vomit and just curl up and cry until the attack passed. They were the worst pains in my life. After 2 trips to the emergency room and 2 incorrect diagnoses and daily attacks shortly after eating, (no matter what it was or how small the amount) I resorted to starvation until my organs began to struggle to function and I nearly died. That’s when it was diagnosed and surgery was done. Although they removed it, I am just recently getting these same pains I had before. It’s been going on for a couple of weeks now and they are very mild but I’m concerned that it will get to that point once again. Is it possible I can still get gall stones and what can I do to relieve these symptoms?
A: my sister had her gall bladder removed and they accidentally cut her bile ducts which caused her many problems and a month in the hospital… I would go to the doctor right away.
