I think I got really bad mouth sores from taking aspirin (another NSAID) and drinking soda pop (has acid) during a highly stressful and nonnutritional time.I haven’t had cold sores or mouth sores in years, even though I am going through highly stressful time period now, maybe because I take better care of body. Eat mostly healthy food, no junk if you can help it (occasional or rare treat ok 🙂 ), garlic tablets, vitamins, minerals (drink low or no-fat milk or take calcium). Try to exercise to reduce or release physical and emotional stress from body. Get restful sleep and/or rest so body can replenish self and take care of self. Study toxin buildup and nutrition. If you drink sodas and take NSAIDS, try to balance it with milk (soy, cow, or goat milk). Eat bland foods if you can (mine were too bad too eat, drink, or brush teeth but I had to anyway), keep mouth clean. If you have hydrogen peroxide, you can gargle with that. Doctor can give you lidocaine or other solution for mouth ulcers that will numb it so you can eat, drink, and perform oral hygiene.

A: try Peroxyl, it is a mouthwash recommended for braces. i use it for canker sores and it works great for me
