OK to stay up all night or get 4 hours of sleep?
Q: Here’s the thing – I’m 18, and I’ve only stayed up all night ONCE while on a Police Ride along (Cadet for a local Police Department.)I didn’t feel that bad that night, and wasn’t too tired when I got home.I’m not tired at all right now, but I have to get up in 4 1/2 hours for college. I take 4 classes, and I’m there 8am to 3:30pm, the classes are not that rough and I have no tests tomorrow.Should I force myself to sleep for just 3-4 hours, or stay up all night? I’m kinda worried that in the middle of my school day I’ll suddenly get tired, but I kind of actually want to stay up all night.I only have an hour long drive to school and back, so driving will not be a major issue. If I’m too tired to drive, then I will refuse to. I’m not stupid. My main question(s):1) Will I probably get suddenly unbearably tired in the middle of my school day, since I’ve technically never stayed up all night in my life?2) Will this effect my health at all, for just doing a one night thing?3) Should I get one of those 5 hour energy shots, or are they bad for your health? I tried energy drinks once, but they made me feel weird and I heard they’re very unhealthy.
A: 1) You probably be falling asleep whenever you blink2) One night? Probably not really. But I wouldn’t suggest doing it often3) Just sleep, some sleep is better than no sleep. But if you really want to stay up, and drink some caffeine in a can, its up to you. And yes those things are bad for you.
Is it ok for me to stay up all night?
Q: I have to leave early in the morning to catch a plane. I am going on a cruise and I was wondering if i could stay up all night and or sleep on the plane. The plane ride is going to be like a 8 hour trip. Also I was wondering if it is ok for me just to miss one night of sleep. It is hard for me to pull an all night-er and matter of fact I never have. Is there any tips?Thank you…May I ask why “seanfox1…” said my heart would explode? That doesn’t even make since. I never heard of someone staying up all night and than have there heart explode…
A: I think that you can stay up for half a night but for first timers it is difficult to pull off an all nighter. Moreover, that will weaken your immune system and your more likely to fall sick during your trip. Best thing is to wake up earlier. You do know that there are fun games and good movies on planes right? (:
