Recovered from Swine Flu in 2 Days?
Q: So yesterday morning I woke up with a 39 degree fever and went to the Docs. She listened to my symptoms and said it was probably the swine flu. She didn’t swab me though, because there were too many people getting it and not all of them were serious enough to be swabbed. So she gave me Tamiflu and told me to take Advil and Tylenol every 4 hours in alternation along with 2 doses of Tamiflu everyday. In addition I slept and drank water the entire day.By yesterday evening my fever was down to 37.5.This morning I wake up and my fever is gone.My head doesn’t hurt, and the only thing that’s bothering me slightly is my throat. I do cough occasionally (ie. maybe once every half hour)Was that too fast?I mean normally I recover from the flu in 2 days as well w/o medication. But I thought the Swine Flu would take a lot longer to go away. I’m still not going to school tomorrow because of my cough, but I feel like it’s going to be gone soon.So yeah, I’m just wondering if anyone’s got similar experiences as I did.Or maybe if it wasn’t H1N1 after all?
A: I also recover in two days too. The Tamil flu works very quickly within the first 48 hours of the outbreak. I remembered three weeks ago, my head was dizzy and my legs were aching like crazy that I had to sent myself to the health room. At the health room, I continued to cry from the pain and waited several hours before my dad picked me up. When we went to the clinic, because we didn’t make an appointment, so I had to wait another hour (Oh, it was so suffering) before I could see the doctor and test positive for H1N1. Originally, the doctor wouldn’t give me the medication, because I got pneumonia twice, so she gave it anyway. So I went back home, and took it. And, slept 17 hours straight. Then next day, all my aching had gone, and I felt only slight dizzy. Then I started developing coughs a few days later, so I had rest five days before going to school. But, it is true that tamiflu work really fast only if you take it within 48 hours. Moreover, you don’t have suffer that much. Hope you get well soon.
