Swine Flu vs. Seasonal Flu … symptom differences?
Q: How does swine flu differ from seasonal flu?in terms of SYMPTOMS, how do Swine & regular flu differ? Any idea from the following symptoms?I had a sore throat Friday, got worse Saturday, then Sunday I was sweating, shaking, had a diabolical headache, joint pain and pain in the big muscles of my legs. Did I say headache? I could not believe the pain from my head, the front and top of my head. If I weren’t so lethargic I’d have taken a cab to the hospital, but by that time I wanted to die anyway. Oh, and for fun I felt nauseous… and had a bit of diarrhea. Oh, and postnasal drip, and the coughing started in earnest on Monday. Monday was a national holiday, thankfully. Tuesday, I dragged myself to work (how I don’t know) as boss is jerk. Tuesday, amongst the other agonies and coughing, I was sitting at my desk when suddenly had this growing sense of pressure in my head and I could hear my pulse throbbing. It was like someone turned up my blood pressure 30 or so notches. Then it subsided just as quickly – I was worried it would cause a stroke.Bless him, my boss let me have yesterday after 3pm off (but I had to work lunch) to go to the doctor, now everyone at work is sick). Anyway- Doctor took a culture… stuffed a q tip up my nose it hurt like hell. He was taking great care not to get breathed on and a sample went to the lab to be tested for swine flu. So what do these symptoms sound like to anyone with the background to know?
A: Swine flu has stronger symptoms than seasonal flu and the only difference is that is more powerful than the seasonal flu. In your case I’d pray for the best and expect the worst. good luck.
