If it keeps happening I’d try going to surgery but I wouldn’t mess with is because you could strain it or misplace it and make it even worse. But if you must I found this page that may help http://www.ctds.info/shoulder_popping.html

what should you do if you pop your shoulder out and it goes back into place but it hurts SOOOO Much ??
Q: should i like go to the doctor
A: an x-ray isnt a bad idea however x-rays can only produce an image of bone. and most likely if you dislocated your shoulder there isnt any bone damage. the rotator cup is a socket surrounded buy muscle, ligaments, and tendons. if the dislocations was bad enough it would be more likely to damage the tissue rather than the bone. and considering it went back into place without have a professional re-place it, i doubt you did damage, but i’m not a professional. so if you feel you need to… see the doc. if not, give it 48hrs and begin rehab. you can buy a large rubber ban for this. tie it to something that is the same height as your elbow. place the ban in your hand and strengthen your rotator cup. i’m not going to go into those details but i’m sure if you google “how to strengthen a rotator cup” you’ll find a diagram. i dont think you have anything to worry about.

I dislocated mt shoulder. the doctor popped it back into place. but now i cant move my upper arm?
Q: its like the muscle wont work is this bad
A: First of all, it depends on how long ago you dislocated the shoulder. Expect pain with movement for at least a week or two. Second, your body is protecting itself (pain is the body’s way of telling you that something’s wrong, and it will swell and make it look pretty ugly so you leave it be!)Third, didn’t the MD give you any instructions on how this injury would progress? You should be in a sling and on anti-inflammatory drugs, with instructions to ice. The shoulder is especially vulnerable to injury with it’s large range of motion and relatively small muscle groups to hold it.If you’re worried, another trip to the MD won’t hurt, expecially if it’s been over a week and you can’t move it at all. I hope x-ray’s were taken to check for bone chips. If you’re not satisfied with your general MD’s treatment, hit up a specialist (orthopaedic surgeon or sports medicine doctor)Ask about physical therapy as well.
