Q: I was in kenya this past summer, and i visited women with AIDS . They were dancing and praising God for giving them life and letting them live just one more day. They pray to live another day. They are thankful . They have hope. why do most of us in America, with everything!! not have joy, dont pray about living another day or praise GOd for life? maybe u do idk. im just saying.

A: For two different reasons. 1. They are not American. Life in other countries is very different than here in America, life here is fast, there’s a lot of pressure, you have to pay an insurance for everything…you pretty much have to pay for everything in general. In other countries, it’s like you can take a breath of fresh air, enjoy a life free of pressure and materialism. I know this because my grandparents are from Mexico, we go visit them all the time. And I swear I’m not exaggerating, as soon as you cross the border you can feel the weight lifted off your shoulders.2. They have aids. Ppl with terminal illnesses tend to appreciate life more. Since they value it that much more, they try to enjoy every minute they have left.
