What do you clean belly button piercing with?
Q: What did you use that cleans your belly button piercing well and you didn’t get an infection??
A: To do a sea salt soak, mix 1/4 tsp of noniodized sea salt per 8 fl oz or water, preferably distilled. Use a shot glass, or other small glass (as a warning, paper cups don’t work, I learned that the hard way lol) and heat in the microwave until comfortably warm. The bend over, place the cup around the piercing and hold it there, then stand back up. This should create a seal, keeping the water in the cup and over the piercing as you stand, sit, or whatever. Soak like this for 10 minutes or so, then use a clean paper towel to wipe the rest of the crusties away. Do this twice a day.Don’t ever use alcohol, peroxide, bactine, or any kind of ointment (including neosporin) on it, these are all bad news for piercings. Also make sure you’re not touching the piercing with dirty hands, that’s what causes the majority of piercing infections.
How to clean a belly button piercing?
Q: Okay, so.I was wondering what kind of stuff I could use to clean my belly button piercing.I’ve had it done for almost 4 years now and when I got it pierced my piercer said to wash it with sea salt (that was provided) and mix it in with boiling water, the thing is i don’t have anymore of the sea salt and i don’t want to go out and buy it when im not going to use it often. What else could i use to clean my piercing?
A: yep just go buy a SMALL carton of ebsons sea salt ( you can find it in walmart, or any drugstore…) & mix it with luke-warm or boiling water, put it in a small sterilized cup & put it over the piercing & hold it there for like 2 – 3 minutes.if you dont wanna do that you can go back to your piercer, & buy H2ocean piercing cleaner, it comes in a spray can, it was about 15 dollars here (amazing stuff) but it might be cheaper or higher depending on where you live!hope i helped! byee
Can you use saline solution for contacts to clean a belly button piercing?
Q: It’s been said on a few sites a saline solutions can be used to clean belly button piercings, so I was wondering if this includes saline solution for contacts. And, if so — can I just squirt some on and chill for a little bit or do I have to do the whole thing where I get a shot glass and have it upturned on my belly button and blah blah blah? Thanks. :]
A: No, you can’t use that. It doesn’t only contain saline. It has other chemicals in it that can harm your piercing. You can buy wound wash saline from a drugstore or most other places that carry first-aid supplies. The saline solution that can be used for piercings contains .09% sodium chloride solution. I have used Blairex sterile wound wash saline for all or my piercings and it works great.
