not common. personally I have seen only two people that I can remember, in the past 13 years, who are health care workers, and who had MRSA infections. One was a doctor, one a nurse – in both cases, treated and resolved without antibiotics….

If you are having active infections you need to see your physcian for oral and topical antibiotics. You need to practice excellent hygeine and wash your clothes and bedding, including pillowcases, regularly in hot soap and water and most important wash your hands with soap often. I am assuming that you bathe regularly with soap.
