Then you merely apply torque at one end of the stick, it binds and ‘bingo’, snappage. For a leg you would want to apply your torque at the knee by throwing yourself (using your handy body weight) sideways once your lower leg was in position. It would also help to manage the break closer to the foot so that the knee wouldn’t just separate. In fact, casting or otherwise immobilizing the knee joint would be recommended to avoid injury to it.

Also, you will be left with the inconvenience of being on crutches with your leg stucked in a big cast like what I am suffering. The attention you get with the cast might be fun initially, but the ‘novelty’ wears out very quickly and you will certainly be sorry to have hurt you leg on purpose.
