Q: It seems like whenever I am stressed like even after a test or something I get a bad tension headache..does anyone else get this? is this normal?and how do i get rid of them?
A: Yeah headaches or migraines that come from stress are highly common and sadly all to easy to contract with high levels of stress, you should try to find a way to vent that built up stress to avoid them headaches, do some light stretches to loosen the tension….if not they will progress as you age and possibly become more severe.
Does it sound like my headaches are from stress, or do you think they’re cause by a more serious problem?
Q: I’m 30. I’ve been getting headaches for the past six months or so. Before that, I never had headaches before. I get them when I’ve been reading or when I’ve been frowning or squinting (like if I’m furrowing my brow because I’m concentrating, or squinting because the sun is in my eyes). The pain is usually in my forehead above my eyebrows, but at the moment, I have a pain in my temple.
A: You might need reading glasses. Next time you’re at the drug store, try some on and see. They have a chart there.Your headaches are tension headaches. If you’re only getting them 3-4 days a week, find what works best for you. Excedrin, (my husband swears by it) Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, or aspirin. Go to WalMart and buy their generics. Take the maximum dose recommended. Any more will not help.If you’re getting these headaches every day, first check out the reading glasses, and then see your doctor. You do not have to live with headaches. You’ll see.Bless you and good luck! 🙂
What do stress headaches feel like?
Q: I have been having killer headaches the last couple of days. It starts hurting in the back of my head and then moves forward. I have been under tremendous stress and I am very angry. Could this also come from a cold? I have had a sore throat and sinus pressure the last couple of days also. I don’t think it is a sinus headache because I have had them before and they never hurt this bad.
A: It could be a combination of being sick and stressed out. But, you’re correct. Stress headaches, for me at least, start at the back of the head, behind the ears.So…uh…relax.
