How to deal with a guy with mood swings?

Q: So, I really really like this guy. And he likes me too (or used to… i’m not sure.) But he has extreme mood swings. And it’s so annoying. I used to be able to deal with it & ignore it..but now it’s too much. He can either be the nicest, sweetest guy in the world or the biggest jerk ever. And i tried talking to him about it and he just pretends he doesn’t know what i’m talking about and acts like a bigger asshole. What do i do?

Q: ok so ive known this guy for about a week, i met him at my college..and he seems pretty cool..but every now and then he has these odd mood swings. for example were talking and laughing and having a good time, then suddenly out of nowhere he starts getting a little attitude..like he asks me about my classes, and as im telling him about them he interrupts and hes like “ok so are we gonna meet up tomorrow or what?” in a kind of attitude-y way..im like whoaa something wrong? then he tells me “im sorry i was mowing the lawn this morning and breathed in some dust i felt sick since then” yet he seemed completely normal throughout the whollee day. im confused!! anybody know what could be up with him? thankks for any help xx

You might even be able to discuss it with him depending on your level of closeness. Either way though give him time it’s pretty early to come to any definite conclusions without talking to him.
