The holiday season is upon us and Thanksgiving is just a few days away and for those of you still trying to make plans for the upcoming holiday then look no further. I have all the information you need to enjoy this year’s Holiday festivities. Let’s start with all you crafty types that love the holiday arts and crafts events. Olympia High School presents its Olympia High School BEARZAAR. Over 150 vendors will provide you with all your craft and antique needs. Don’t forget to grab a latte, blueberry muffin or perhaps a slice of pizza from one of the many food vendors. Don’t forget to bring the canned goods donations for the food bank.

For those of you looking for a little something different for your Thanksgiving dinner then I’ve got just the place for you. Thanksgiving dinner at La Petite Maison. A family-style French inspired menu will be available for your dining pleasure. Don’t forget to pair that meal up with one of the many fine wines available. Reservations are strongly recommended to this special event.

Time to get your running shoes on and race on down an participate in the annual Oly Trot benefit for the Thurston County Food Bank. A fun, family friendly event in downtown Olympia. A 4 mile run around Olympia’s scenic Capital Lake and right on through the Capital Campus. A perfect way to start the holiday season. Prize money goes to the top three male and female finishers and 1st place age group winners also receive rewards. All runners are asked to bring cans of non perishable food for donations.

And finally for you parade enthusiasts you must visit the Downtown for the Holidays Celebration and Parade at Sylvester Park in downtown Olympia. All sorts of entertainment, tree lighting event and of course, the parade. Sponsored by The Olympia Downtown Association. The kids will have a blast on the free horse-drawn wagon rides with Mrs. Clause. Of course, dont forget to swing the kids by the Urban Onion Olympia Hotel lobby for a visit and photo with jolly ole’ St. Nick himself, Santa! The Olympia Highlanders Pipes and Drums will be there to bring you the bagpipe performance of the season! And dont forget about the parade that starts at the Olympia Farmers Market and strolls its way to Sylvester Park. All this and much, much more! A can’t miss event for all!!
