Week 9 WR Rankings – player profiles and stat projections will be updated throughout the week

Week 9 — QB Rankings — RB Rankings — WR Rankings — TE Rankings — Defense Rankings — Waiver Wire Pickups — Picks & Predictions — Player Injury Updates

1. Hakeem Nicks – NYG = @NE —– injury ? — WILL NOT PLAY —– If the hamstring injury is nothing major, then this could be a huge stat game for Nicks this week against an awful Patriots secondary. Anything in the 100-150 receiving yards and 1-2 touchdown range is possible.

2. Miles Austin – Dal = Sea —– The Cowboys passing attack was completely shut down by the Philadelphia Eagles defense last week, however a much weaker Seahawks secondary this week should have the Cowboys offense tallying close to 300 passing yards in this game. Austin has plenty of potential to haul in 100 of those receiving yards, with a touchdown easily within reach as well.

3. Greg Jennings – GB = @SD —– If Matt Cassel and rookie WR Jon Baldwin can connect against the San Diego Chargers secondary last week, then the Aaron Rodgers show should once again be on display this week. Jennings is always a guy who can rack up 75-125 receiving yards and 1 touchdown during any given week.

4. Roddy White – Atl = @Ind —– Excellent matchup for the Atlanta Falcons offense to finally get on track big time, and as long as the Falcons don’t get too big of a lead and decide to run the ball, Roddy White and Matt Ryan should enjoy plenty of success in this game.

5. Wes Welker – NE = NYG —– One of the most reliable fantasy football WRs out there, Welker is always a good bet to tally 5-10 receptions for 75-100 receiving yards. This weeks matchup against a susceptible Giants secondary should be no different for the Patriots passing attack.

6. Dez Bryant – Dal = Sea —– Bryant was non-existent in last weeks game against the Eagles, but a much weaker Seahawks defense could easily allow Bryant to rack up plenty of catches and yards in this game.

7. Larry Fitzgerald – Ari = StL —– If Kevin Kolb is healthy enough to play well in this game, a big time stat line could be in store for Fitzgerald this week. But then again, we thought that last week for the Saints offense against the Rams…..

8. Mike Wallace – Pit = Bal —– Tough matchup for the Steelers offense, but I do believe that the passing attack will get more opportunities than the running attack for the Steelers in this game. Add in Wallace’s explosive potential to rip off a long TD reception at any time, and he is definitely a must start WR this week in all fantasy football lineups no matter who the matchup.

9. Andre Johnson – Hou = Cle —– injury ? — WILL NOT PLAY —– After a possible return last week was held off, Johnson should be getting closer and closer to playing. His status for this week is still up in the air, but if he does play then an top 10 WR ranking is appropriate for Johnson this week.

10. Brandon Lloyd – StL = @Ari —– The Rams have wasted no time getting the ball into Lloyd’s hands, and whether Sam Bradford or AJ Feeley is at QB….it really does not matter. Add in the fact that the Rams have a healthy Steven Jackson occupying the defenses attention, and Brandon Lloyd should continue to get himself open in the secondary.

11. Victor Cruz – NYG = @NE —– If Hakeem Nicks is limited or out for this game, Cruz could easily become a top 10 scoring WR in all fantasy football leagues this week.

12. DeSean Jackson – Phi = Chi —– Jackson is always a boom or bust play, so fantasy football teams know they will usually either have a huge stat game from Jackson…..or nothing.

13. Vincent Jackson – SD = GB —– The matchup is in Jackson’s favor, but Philip Rivers has just not been that good lately.

14. Dwayne Bowe – KC = Mia —– The Chiefs offense and Matt Cassel seem to be getting comfortable, and the Miami Dolphins defense does not look that imposing in this matchup.

15. Jeremy Maclin – Phi = Chi —– In reality, Maclin is the safer fantasy football WR than teammate DeSean Jackson.

16. Mario Manningham – NYG = @NE —– Manningham is in the same boat as teammate Victor Cruz this week. Lots of potential!

17. AJ Green – Cin = @Ten —– As a rookie WR with a rookie QB throwing him the ball, Green has been everything and more that fantasy football teams could have ever dreamed of to begin the season.

18. Marques Colston – NO = TB

19. Julio Jones – Atl = @Ind —– injury ? —– If Jones is healthy, this is an outstanding matchup for him to rack up the stats.

20. Jordy Nelson – GB = @SD

21. Anquan Boldin – Bal = @Pit

22. Malcom Floyd – SD = GB – 51% —– injury ? —– The Packers pass defense has been their weakness so far this season, and the Chargers passing attack is traditionally their strength. With a healthy Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, and Antonio Gates in the lineup for the Chargers this week, the Packers secondary should be busy this week in what could be a very high scoring game between these two offenses.

23. Santonio Holmes – NYJ = @Buf

24. Pierre Garcon – Ind = Atl

25. Antonio Brown – Pit = Bal – 57% —– With Hines Ward out of last weeks game, both Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders were heavily involved in the Steelers passing attack. There is little to no reason to think that trend will not continue this week as well.

26. Reggie Wayne – Ind = Atl

27. Mike Williams – TB = @NO

28. Brandon Marshall – Mia = @KC

29. Stevie Johnson – Buf = NYJ

30. Plaxico Burress – NYJ = @Buf

31. Lance Moore – NO = TB

32. Deion Branch – NE = NYG

33. Jerome Simpson – Cin = @Ten – 27% —– Simpson has so far stayed under the fantasy football radar this season, however he has really taken on a role as a very reliable and steady producer in the Bengals offense. With a matchup against the Titans in store for this season, Andy Dalton should continue to find Simpson roaming around in the secondary while defenses target AJ Green as the guy they want to shut down.

34. Sidney Rice – Sea = @Dal —– As long as Tarvaris Jackson is healthy enough and playing QB, then Rice has potential to put up yards.

35. Michael Crabtree – SF = @Was – 40% —– Finally looking healthy, Crabtree tallied Alex Smith’s only touchdown pass in last weeks game, and with a healthy Braylon Edwards on the other side at WR, the receiver position in San Francisco could finally become fantasy football worthy in the upcoming weeks.

36. Emmanuel Sanders – Pit = Bal —– I personally prefer Antonio Brown over Sanders right now, but both are pretty equal options in fantasy football lineups as long as Hines Ward is out.

37. James Jones – GB = @SD —– There is always potential for yards and a TD when you are playing in the Packers offense. Jones is a solid starting flex option this week.

38. Torrey Smith – Bal = @Pit – 48% —– With Lee Evans no where to be found in Baltimore, Smith continues to put up stats as Joe Flacco’s #2 WR target behind Anquan Boldin.

39. Steve Breaston – KC = Mia – 40% —– Slowly but steadily becoming a reliable target for Matt Cassel. And until the Chiefs have a solid running game to utilize, it seems reasonable to assume that they will continue to air it out.

40. Braylon Edwards – SF = @Was

41. Jonathan Baldwin – KC = Mia —– After a huge coming out party in Monday night’s game against the San Diego Chargers, Baldwin will absolutely be a hot waiver wire pickup entering week 9. Add in the fact that the Chiefs offense is starting to click, and Baldwin instantly becomes a nice flyer starting option in the flex spot in fantasy lineups this week.

42. Eric Decker – Den = @Oak —– The inaccurate arm of Tim Tebow clearly hurts Deckers’ fantasy football value and reliability.

43. Darrius Heyward-Bey – Oak = Den – 53% —– Fresh off the bye, maybe he can develop a quick connection with Carson Palmer.

44. Nate Washington – Ten = Cin

45. David Nelson – Buf = NYJ

46. Jabar Gaffney – Was = SF

47. Johnny Knox – Chi = @Phi

48. Robert Meachem – NO = TB

49. Greg Little – Cle = @Hou

50. Doug Baldwin – Sea = @Dal – 28% —– With Mike Williams injured and falling down the depth chart, Baldwin has risen to become a reliable option in the Seattle offense. If Tarvaris Jackson can stay healthy, then the potential is there for Baldwin to once again tally some decent stats this week.

51. Ben Obomanu – Sea = @Dal – 1% —– Combining a healthy Sidney Rice, speedy Doug Baldwin, and veteran Ben Obomanu in the Seahawks passing attack, Obomanu should continue to see passes his way as the WR3 option in the Seahawks offense.

52. Laurent Robinson – Dal = Sea

53. Greg Salas – StL = @Ari – 1% —– The beneficiary of the Brandon Lloyd addition, Salas continues to work as the Rams 2nd best receiving option. With a matchup against a bad Arizona Cardinals secondary in store for this week, Salas could be looking at anything between 50-100 receiving yards, with a touchdown possible as well. Add in the fact that the QB play of either Sam Bradford or AJ Feeley really does not change his value, and Salas is an outstanding flex starting option in deep leagues this week.

54. Demaryius Thomas – Den = @Oak – 17% —– The talent is definitely their with Thomas, but Tim Tebow will need to find some accuracy before Thomas can be reliable on in any fantasy football league. In fact if the Broncos turn back to Kyle Orton, Thomas’ value could skyrocket.

55. Davone Bess – Mia = @KC

56. Brandon Gibson – StL = @Ari

57. Early Doucet – Ari = StL

58. Devin Hester – Chi = @Phi

59. Naaman Roosevelt – Buf = NYJ – 1% —– Yes the Jets secondary is tough, but when you consider that Stevie Johnson will have Darrell Revis on him, and David Nelson will have Antonio Cromartie on him, then Roosevelt should be the WR who has the best matchup and likely to get the most balls his way from Ryan Fitzpatrick in this game. Roosevelt is easily worth a gamble spot start this week in deep leagues.

61. Dane Sanzenbacher – Chi = @Phi
62. Damian Williams – Ten = Cin
63. Dexter McCluster – KC = Mia
64. Devery Henderson – NO = TB

85. Jerricho Cotchery – Pit = Bal

86. Donnie Avery – Ten = Cin
87. Andre Roberts – Ari = StL

89. Jacoby Ford – Oak = Den
