2011 Rankings

1. Arian Foster – Hou = Oak —– Welcome Back Mr. Foster! So much for a tough matchup against the Steelers last week and easy Foster back into game shape. After tallying 30 carries for 155 rushing yards and 1 touchdown, a matchup against an Oakland Raiders run defense that is ranked 4th worst in the NFL so far this season and currently allowing an average of 136 rushing yards per game, has all the pieces aligned for Foster to net 150 total yards and 1 touchdown this week.

2. LeSean McCoy – Phi = @Buf —– For all of the attention that the Buffalo Bills have received so far this season for winning some games, there defense really has not been anything special. With Cedric Benson tallying 109 rushing yards on just 19 carries last week against the Bills, McCoy should have a nice bounce-back game this week to the tune of 100-150 total yards and 1 touchdown.

3. Darren McFadden – Oak = @Hou —– Facing a much improved Houston Texans defense could be challenging for McFadden and the Raiders offense this week, but if we have learned anything about McFadden so far this season, it is that he has become very reliable in putting up his stats no matter who the opponent. Expecting anything around the 100 total yards mark and 1 touchdown is within reach.

4. Adrian Peterson – Min = Ari —– Peterson has not posted any spectacular games so far this season, but he is clearly the entire offense in Minnesota right now, and a matchup against a so-so Arizona defense should have Peterson coming close to the 100 total yard plateau, and a touchdown is always possible.

5. Matt Forte – Chi = @Det —– After tallying 205 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on just 25 carries in last weeks game, Forte is an absolute yardage beast who can tally both rushing and receiving yards in any given week no matter who the defense is. It seems like a safe bet for Forte to top the 100 total yard mark in this game.

6. Fred Jackson – Buf = Phi —– For as much as the Eagles defense has been touted, they have been a huge disappointment so far this season. Allowing 139 rushing yards per game so far this season, which is 3rd worst in the entire NFL after 4 weeks, the Eagles defense will face a complete back in Fred Jackson this week. Excellent at tallying both rushing and receiving yards, Jackson should be topping the 100 total yard mark in this game with a touchdown possible as well.

7. Darren Sproles – NO = @Car —– After the Panthers defense allowed Matt Forte to rack up 205 rushing yards and 4 receptions for 23 receiving yards in last weeks game, the similar skill set of Darren Sproles this week could have Sproles easily racking up outstanding yardage numbers in this game. It would not be surprising if Sproles tallied 150 total yards and 1 touchdown this week. All in all, I think Sproles needs to be ranked as an easy top 10 RB in all fantasy football leagues for this weeks games.

8. Michael Turner – Atl = GB —– With two excellent offenses matching up in this game, it would not be surprising if this became a high-scoring shootout. However even with that said, Turner still offers too much ability and is always a goal line threat for a touchdown.

9. Maurice Jones-Drew – Jac = Cin —– After another solid game by Jones-Drew last week, I expect this game to be fairly close in scoring, which means the Jaguars could easily run the ball quite a bit this week. 100 total yards is within range for Jones-Drew in this game.

10. Frank Gore – SF = TB —– So Gore is injured and doesn’t get the start in last weeks game, and he comes in and racks up his best stats all season to the tune of 127 rushing yards and 1 touchdown on just 15 carries. We can only hope that Gore finally got back on track and has finally realized that the NFL season has begun. A matchup against the Buccaneers defense this week gives us hope for another 100 total yard and 1 touchdown output.

11. Beanie Wells – Ari = @Min —– 138 rushing yards and 3 rushing touchdowns in last weeks game!?!? I definitely didn’t see that coming… Either way, Beanie is a good RB2 play in fantasy football leagues this week.

12. Ryan Mathews – SD = @Den —– After hearing all week about how Mathews wasn’t practicing, dealing with injury, might not play, and that Mike Tolbert might see the majority of the carries, Mathews showed up to tote the ball 16 times for 81 rushing yards. With a week to get a little healthier, and a matchup against a so-so Broncos defense, it seems reasonable to expect Mathews to tally stats in the 100 total yard range with a touchdown definitely possible as well.

13. Ahmad Bradshaw – NYG = Sea —– Coming off a down game last week for Bradshaw, a rebound game back into the 100 total yard range is very likely this week. Unfortunately the continued use and success of Brandon Jacobs seems to really be starting to bit into Bradshaw’s playing time.

14. Rashard Mendenhall – Pit = Ten — injury ? active but not starting —– Considering the fact that the Titans have a pretty solid run defense that has allowed an average of only 87 rushing yards per game so far this season, combined with the Steelers struggling rushing attack, and Mendenhall is a fairly risky play this week with limited upside.

15. Chris Johnson – Ten = @Pit —– CJ2K finally showed up in last weeks game, and the Steelers have been uncharacteristically bad against the run so far this season. Perhaps another 100 total yard output is actually possible from Johnson again this week.

16. Cedric Benson – Cin = @Jac
17. DeAngelo Williams – Car = NO
18. Jahvid Best – Det = Chi
19. Shonn Green – NYJ = @NE
20. LeGarrette Blount – TB = @SF

21. Mark Ingram – NO = @Car
22. Joseph Addai – Ind = KC
23. Jonathan Stewart – Car = NO
24. Thomas Jones – KC = @Ind
25. Brandon Jacobs – NYG = Sea — injury ? unlikely to play

26. Dexter McCluster – KC = @Ind — 61% —– After the Chiefs pulled off a solid win against the Minnesota Vikings last week, maybe there is still a slight beacon of hope showing in Kansas City after all. I have to believe that one of these weeks the Dexter McCluster show will be put out on center stage. This weeks matchup against a bad Colts team could be it….

27. Pierre Thomas – NO = @Car — 53% —– After the Panthers defense allowed over 200 rushing yards to Matt Forte in last weeks game, a glimmer of excitement shines in the Pierre Thomas direction this week. That is assuming Darren Sproles and/or Mark Ingram don’t hog up too much of the fun in this game.

28. Willis McGahee – Den = SD — 69% —– It looks like Knowshon Moreno is only an afterthought in the Broncos offense right now. McGahee is the RB you want to have from the Broncos backfield right now.

29. Ryan Grant – GB = @Atl

30. James Starks – GB = @Atl

31. Stevan Ridley – NE = NYJ — 14% —– Anytime an RB has a role in an explosive scoring offense like the Patriots, fantasy football teams need to pay attention. Ridley could be the next big time waiver wire pickup in all fantasy football leagues. If you have a roster spot or need RB help, taking a flyer on Ridley immediately could be a wise investment.

32. Mike Tolbert – SD = @Den
33. Marshawn Lynch – Sea = @NYG
34. BenJarvus Green-Ellis – NE = NYJ
35. Knowshon Moreno – Den = SD

36. Ben Tate – Hou = Oak
37. Danny Woodhead – NE = NYJ
38. Kendall Hunter – SF = TB

39. Delone Carter – Ind = KC — 12% —– As the weeks go by, it seems like only a matter of time before the Colts start to split carries 50/50 between Addai and Carter. This weeks matchup is a good starting point for Carter to get 10 carries and 50 yards.

40. LaDainian Tomlinson – NYJ = @NE

41. Ronnie Brown – Phi = @Buf
42. Isaac Redman – Pit = Ten — STARTING for Mendenhall
43. Marion Barber – Chi = @Det
44. Michael Bush – Oak = @Hou
45. CJ Spiller – Buf = Phi

46. Javon Ringer – Ten = @Pit
47. Deji Karim – Jac = Cin
48. Joe McKnight – NYJ = @NE
49. Leon Washington – Sea = @NYG
50. Bernard Scott – Cin = @Jac

51. Toby Gerhart – Min = Ari
52. Le’Ron McClain – KC = @Ind
53. Jason Snelling – Atl = GB
54. Justin Forsett – Sea = @NYG
55. Keiland Williams – Det = Chi

56. Chester Taylor – Ari = @Min
57. Dion Lewis – Phi = @Buf
58. Taiwan Jones – Oak = @Hou
59. Johnny White – Buf = Phi
60. Donald Brown – Ind = KC
