Was it Apparent that Whitney Houston was on Drugs Before Dying?

The legendary hit, Whitney Houston, was found dead on the evening of February 11, 2012. This famous pop singer, “discovered at 19″ and who was really big in the 90’s, has had problems with drug abuse as well as physical marital abuse from Bobby Brown. How could such a beautiful singer maintain a drug habit while at the same time making millions of dollars in record sales as well as showing up on t.v. and we all remember the hit movie “The Bodyguard”. How does any famous celebrity keep such a habit “in the dark” in front of millions of people, as when they are on stage or giving interviews?

“Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and location of her death were unknown.” As it is at the moment unclear as to the cause of her death, she did however have a reputation and history of drug abuse. Whether it was a heroin, cocaine, meth amphetamine, or prescription pill overdose possibly in combination with alcohol, or even drug/alcohol related, this is a tragic blow to the music industry in general. There is no doubt that Whitney was an inspiration to a lot of young up and coming singers, and anyone who can remember the late 80’s and the 90’s in general can definitely appreciate her beautiful songs with clear, high pitched voice that would send shivers down your spine in a love song. A beautiful voice as well as a beautiful woman in appearance aside, did it really seem like she was on drugs when we saw her?

There has to be a lot of pressure on famous people with all the spotlights on them, which some of them in turn reach to drugs as an escape from all this pressure. Is it obvious that Whitney Houston probably died from a drug overdose? Even without considering her history of drug abuse I would say that it is at least believable. We’ll hear more news about this tragic matter soon, and to all of the Whitney fans out there, I’m sorry for your loss.
