The Notre Dame-USC Game Just Got Bigger

The Notre Dame game with the University of Southern California just got bigger for Notre Dame. ND is on the cusp of returning back to the top twenty five and is looking for their fifth win in a row. That and it being a night game against USC seemed to be enough incentive.

But this is quickly also becoming a big recruiting game with a lot of recruits attending. One of the top QB’s in the nation Gunner Kiel is likely to be there. He de-committed from Indiana University and has opened his recruitment back up. Notre Dame seems to have a good shot with him.

Arik Armstead (OT/DT) and Keith Marshall(RB) will be attending also. In fact, the official and unofficial visit list looks like a who’s who of high school top rated players. A convincing win by Notre Dame in a night game with an electric atmosphere can bring in a couple of top recruits this weekend.

This is a big game for ND. USC is still a good team and USC has dominated ND lately. Notre Dame’s win last year in the Coliseum went down to the last minute and USC clearly had a chance to win. An interception by Harrison Smith foiled a late drive by USC.

This Notre Dame team will be coming off of a bye week and the week before dominated Air Force in a game where Notre Dame moved the ball at will. If they continue to limit their turnovers and move the ball like they have, they should get their second victory in a row over the Trojans.

Getting a victory will definitely land Notre Dame in the top 25. It will be another signature victory for coach Brian Kelly and could be the key to a great season. It also will probably result in bringing in a few more top high school recruits.

It will signal a huge turnaround for Notre Dame who did not look like a BCS team in the first two weeks of the season and now they can show a national audience that they are ready for prime time.
