When we were young we made angels
in the snow. Like time, they disappeared.
Back in the day we didn’t know
The true value the holiday season
held. We were blinded by the light
of sparkly things. Our hearts sang with joy
every Christmas morn. Now that we are grown
with families of our own, Christmas has a new
meaning…especially for me. I understand
the significance of the day does not lay
in the number of gifts we receive, but the
love we give to one another. It’s about the
special memories we make and pass on
to our children. Christmas is about all the
angels in the snow, flying side by side
just the way you and I did when we were
young. I keep those memories close to my
heart and am grateful I was able to share
so many wonderful days with you.
