I scream silently
defying this cruel pain
yet this fear remains undaunted
still driving me insane.
My breath staggers
while you bask in my fate
loneliness is a creeping shadow
any more & my mind will break.
My smile is unnerving
somehow it doesn’t reach my eyes
with a fierce torrent just below the surface
I drown in a pool of logic and lies.
