Review of Rocky Rococo Sweet Sticks

A couple weeks ago, I had my first visit to a Rocky Rococo Pizza and Pasta in nearly 30 years and loved it. As a result of that visit, I decided to take my wife and kids there this past weekend.

Even though we couldn’t really agree on what we wanted to eat for lunch (my wife and I wanted pizza but the kids insisted on spaghetti), when we saw the sign advertising the restaurant’s Sweet Sticks, we all wanted them. So, just before leaving, I ordered some to eat at home.

Rocky Rococo’s Sweet Sticks honestly aren’t anything unique. I’ve been to other restaurants that offered something similar. However, they were still pretty decent. We ended up getting the chocolate Sweet Sticks (they also had a choice of raspberry and cinnamon) and everyone in the family loved them. By the time we got a chance to eat them, they were a bit cold. But, we found they were just as enjoyable cold as they were warmed up in the microwave.

There were a couple things I personally enjoyed about this item. One of the big ones was how the Sweet Sticks had just the right amount of flavor. I can’t eat foods that are extremely sweet. These didn’t fall into that category but still offered plenty of taste. Even my youngest daughter, who will try something like this but normally won’t finish it, asked for a second one.

The treats also just the right amount in terms of quantity. They were a filling dessert but not something that filled me to the point I was bloated. Both of those things made it easy to overlook how messy they were (I had my daughter, who had just taken a bath, use a fork when eating them).

My only real complaint about this product is the restaurant only allowing us to order one flavor of Sweet Sticks instead of giving us the option to order a variety pack with a mix of all the flavors. I was pretty disappointed by that because, while my family loves chocolate, I probably would have enjoyed the raspberry Sweet Sticks more and it would have been nice to have the option to have both without having to buy another order.

Overall though, I thought this was a pretty decent dessert. It is yet another reason why I will be eating at Rocky Rococo Pizza and Pasta more often.
