The Nike+ SportWatch GPS powered by TomTom ($199.99) is a watch that works with Nike+ running shoes to track the time, distance, pace, heart rate and calories burned when you jog. There is a GPS inside the watch powered by TomTom that works with the Nike+ Sensor in the watch as well as the one in the Nike+ shoe to track run speed and distances accurates, both indoors and out. It is capable of taking these measurements even if the GPS signal is interrupted. While running you can tap the screen to mark laps and activate the backlight. It weighs 2.33 ounces and is not bulky, and is easily connected to the computer because the watch has a USB connector built into the watch strap. All you have to do is plug it directly into the computer and upload your run data or charge the watch. With Nike+ History you can save up to 50 runs and pace rates. If you haven’t run in 5 days your watch can give you an automatic run reminder to let you know that much time has passed. When you set a new personal best time or distance the Nike+ SportWatch will let you know by giving you an Attaboy!

The other feature that comes with the Nike+ SportWatch GPS powered by TomTom is membership to Nikeplus.com, what Nike advertises as the world’s largest running club. You can use Nikeplus.com to show mapped routes that you take or want to take in the future. You can look at pace data and elevation changes as well. With Nikeplus.com you can set goals and access training programs designed by expert physical fitness trainers. There is also a social network element to Nikeplus.com because you can join challenges and connect with friends by using Facebook and Twitter. Use them to view the routes your friends take, or share your activity to show people the progress that you’re making.

The Nike+ SportWatch GPS powered by TomTom comes with the watch, a Nike+ Sensor, quick start guide and USB cable in case your USB port is in a tucked away place and the connector on the wrist strap does not easily reach or connect to it. The heart-rate monitor feature of the watch is also compatible with the Polar Wearlink+ Transmitter, so the two can be synced and used together to collect data into a single database.
