NFL Pick Em for Week 11

Last week’s picks: 7-9

Season total: 94-52

Teams with byes: Texans, Colts, Saints, Steelers

The bye is back this week as the final four teams who have yet to have one are finally off. As a result, every team will have played ten games by the conclusion of week 11.

As you can see, I had another terrible week picks wise for the second week in a row. It’s time for things to get back on track.

The week kicks off Thursday night with the 4-5 Broncos hosting the 5-4 Jets. Let’s kick off the picks now.

Thursday, November 17

New York Jets (5-4) @ Denver Broncos (4-5) – One would have to think that Rex Ryan would be the coach who is capable of slowing down Tim Tebow in this “new” offense. This game should be ugly. My pick: New York Jets

Sunday, November 20

Carolina Panthers (2-7) @ Detroit Lions (6-3) – The Lions have been struggling so the Panthers’ defense is a welcomed sight. After being in most games, the Panthers were blown out last week. The Lions cannot afford to lose this game. My pick: Detroit Lions

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) @ Green Bay Packers (9-0) – What a great matchup this used to be between these two. The Buccaneers are way too up and down, led by a poor season by their quarterback Josh Freeman. The Packers continue to be the best team in the NFL. My pick: Green Bay Packers

Dallas Cowboys (5-4) @ Washington Redskins (3-6) – The Cowboys are gaining momentum and the Redskins look like the second worst team in the NFL. My pick: Dallas Cowboys

Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (6-3) – The Bengals had their first “test” of the season last week and, while the game was fairly close, they failed. The Ravens, meanwhile, lost to another bad team. They will be hungry and they are at home where they are great. Bengals may keep it close but they will fall short for the second week in a row. My pick: Baltimore Ravens

Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6) @ Cleveland Browns (3-6) – Um, someone has to win, right? These two teams are inept offensively so let’s go with the better defense. My pick: Jacksonville Jaguars

Buffalo Bills (5-4) @ Miami Dolphins (2-7) – The Bills are coming off two terrible losses and the Dolphins are playing after two fairly dominant victories. The Bills are better offensively and cause turnovers on defense which may win them the game late. If they lose this, their playoff hopes are probably over. My pick: Buffalo Bills

Oakland Raiders (5-4) @ Minnesota Vikings (2-7) – You can never tell with either of these two teams. Oakland is a better team and has been good on the road so let’s go with them. My pick: Oakland Raiders

Seattle Seahawks (3-6) @ St. Louis Rams (2-7) – Again, someone has to win, right? Seattle has been more competitive all year. My pick: Seattle Seahawks

Arizona Cardinals (3-6) @ San Francisco 49ers (8-1) – I could see an upset here after the 49ers big win over the Giants. They play the Ravens on Thursday night and may look ahead of the Cardinals. In the end, I’ll cower out and play it safe by picking the much better team. My pick: San Francisco 49ers

Tennessee Titans (5-4) @ Atlanta Falcons (5-4) – The Titans have a legit shot at the AFC South title now with Texans quarterback Matt Schaub potentially out for the rest of the season. They need to win Sunday. Unfortunately for them, so do the Falcons. Look for them to get back on track at home. My pick: Atlanta Falcons

San Diego Chargers (4-5) @ Chicago Bears (6-3) – Philip Rivers and the Chargers have been stinking up the joint the last four weeks. The Bears, on the other hand, are on a roll. My pick: Chicago Bears

Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) @ New York Giants (6-3) – This is a must-win for both of these teams. The Eagles are looking to stay alive and the Giants want to keep their one game lead over Dallas in the NFC East. The Giants beat the Eagles in week 3 and there is no reason to think they will not do it again. They smell blood and need to put the final nail in the coffin of the “Dream Team” season. My pick: New York Giants

Monday, November 21

Kansas City Chiefs (4-5) @ New England Patriots (6-3) – The string of bad Monday night football games continue. How in the world did the Chiefs ever manage to win four games? My pick: New England Patriots

Thanks for reading. See you again next week. Cheers!
