My Favorite Laptop is My Mac

About four years ago I was challenged with the age ole question, Mac or PC? I was in the market for my first laptop and struggled between them. I had done my research and it was down to the money factor. Did I want to spend almost three times the money for a Mac laptop or just settle for a PC? I had got as close as trying to purchase a PC laptop when the store informed me it would take another day before I could actually take it home; due to them having to update software and setting up all the programs. I left the store and went straight to Apple. I decided if I was going to spend the money I might as well get the best. I purchased the Mac Book Pro, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB and 667 Mhz.

I immediately went home to set it up, expecting to wait hours on software updates and discs to install I booted up the laptop, right away being totally shocked. I entered simple information like my name and my laptop came up with no pop ups or updates needed. It was completely ready to go and I was ready to dive in and see what the Mac world was all about.

Right away I noticed it was much more easy to maneuver through the programs and files. Things were simple and a lot of times one click away from happening. Nothing was a thirty-day trail or test program. There was also no need for virus protection software due to Mac computers very rarely getting a virus.

I was traveling a lot and wanted to share my photos with family, I absolutely fell in love with the iMovie program and began making home DVDs with all my pictures, I would spend hours adding music and captions and creating my own home movie, then burning them quickly and painlessly within minutes. My computer also had a duel layer DVD/CR ROM Drive. I would mail them out to everyone, all of whom loved them.

Over these past five years I have not got one single operating error, to me that is just dumbfounding compared to all the errors I used to get on my PC desktop. Only once have I needed to buy a replacement battery. Over all it has been wonderful. Too wonderful in fact, with all the new apple laptops out there now I want to purchase a new laptop but I just don’t have a reason to do so. My laptop still runs as great as it did the day I brought it home.
