There can’t be light without darkness,
Without evil true goodness would fade.
Anger and hatred breed battles
In which courage and justice are made.
The strength of brave heroes is tested
By the wicked that others can do.
But the pain and the darkness around us
Will be lifted by the honest and true.
Take comfort in knowing God’s with us,
As love triumphs once more against those
Who would hurt and damage God’s people
Peace will settle life’s woes.
