Job Cards Reviewed

Job Cards gives parents the tools they need to develop tomorrow’s leaders. Many of today’s kids are motivated by money. Unfortunately, most parents fail to capitalize on that motivation and use it to their advantage. Stop giving away money to your kids. Giving your children an allowance makes them dependent and develops a sense of entitlement. Put them on commission and teaching your children respect, responsibility, and the value of hard work and money.
Job Cards offer parents a ready-made, easy system for rewarding and disciplining. Job Cards are a set of printable cards that have common house hold chores. Each card has one of three colors and a dollar value according to its level of difficulty assigned to it. The green card is the minimum, the yellow is moderate, and the red card is the highest. Each card also has a dollar value of $1, $2, or $3 that corresponds to its color. As discipline, parents just need to tell their child to grab a red, yellow, or green card depending to the level of infraction. Instead of being paid, the child just needs to complete the chore. Parents should also follow the helpful tip of holding their child’s favorite electronic, i.e., cell phone or iPod as collateral until the choir is completed to satisfaction. I like how Job Cards gives control back to the parents so they can create their own parentocracy. Job Cards can be found and printed from http://www.lulu.com/product/ebook/job-cards/18547493
