The USS Constitution Museum presents “A Model of a Good Time”, a February School Vacation Week program offering a variety of activities for the family. Hands on workshops include caulking, or waterproofing, a ship, quill pen demonstrations, scavenger hunts and the 33rd Annual Ship Model Show, which will be set up in the theater.

The Franklin Park Zoo presents an animal election for President of the zoo, in honor of President’s Day and the 2012 Presidential Election. The Old South Meeting House presents Hope Shannon, Director of the South End Historical Society, who will present an informative lecture on the South End neighborhood of Boston, with stories about its establishment in the 1800s and the challenges the members of the community have overcome since then, in order to save the neighborhood from neglect and land the South End on the National Register of Historic Places as the largest Victorian brick row house district in the US (1972).
