HTC Thunderbolt Review

I have never been obsessed with a phone until I walked into Best Buy and tested the HTC Thunderbolt. Originally I was not looking to upgrade my current phone, but once I got the HTC Thunderbolt in my hands and began finding my way around its technology I knew I had to have the phone.

The obvious difference I noticed between my LG Optimus T and the HTC Thunderbolt was its size. The HTC Thunderbolt is larger in dimensions-both length and width-which I surprisingly like because the screen is larger and that means no straining of my eyes to read. Although the HTC Thunderbolt is relatively bigger I found it comfortable to hold while using it to surf the apps and make phone calls.

When it comes to a great phone, sound quality is very important to me which is what makes the HTC Thunderbolt such a must-have. I did a test call to my mom and I was able to hear her clearly without asking her to repeat what she said over and over again. The background was clear and despite having other store customers surrounding me with their conversations I was still able to hear my mom quite well. Another plus was the phone didn’t drop my call.

The HTC Thunderbolt has a colossal library of apps such as Facebook and Twitter which are both favorites of mine. It is a touchscreen which made going through the apps much more fun. While searching the apps I found the camera which I thought beats its competitors hands down. The resolution is remarkably high which produces the clearest pictures imaginable. The thing I love best about the HTC Thunderbolt built-in camera is that it has a flash like you would find on a regular digital or basic camera. The flash was a surprising addition to the camera and a very useful one at that.

The HTC Thunderbolt has the ability to connect to the internet and other entertainment features which are online. The hardest thing about searching for a phone with internet connection is finding one with a constant clear signal. This phone has a built-in WiFi signal which makes it easy to access the internet from any location. The phone streams really fast as if I were using wireless internet on my home computer; I love that because I can watch movies and music on Youtube faster. Both the sound and visual quality are excellent and I like how the back of the phone has an invisible stand just in case you wanted to stand you phone on a surface as opposed to constantly holding it.

Although purchasing the HTC Thunderbolt came at a significant price-changing my provider and the price itself-I found it to be the perfect phone for me. I frequently use it for taking pictures, online entertainment, and texting and social media. I was skeptical of its size at first, but after using it I realized I liked the larger screen as well as the high resolution. The sound quality is great which is what I needed because I am always talking to someone, and I like the fact that all the background noise gets drowned out while I am speaking with someone. If you are not with Verizon you probably will be bothered with the change, but besides that it is the perfect phone if you are looking for great entertainment, WiFi connection, a large library of apps, high quality resolution, and an overall great phone.
