How to Reduce Dark Circles

Dark circles can hamper your mood and personality, as well as make you appear a little less rejuvenated than you’d like. Here are some ways to say goodbye to those irritating dark circles.

Many people believe they are well hydrated, when in reality they simply are not. Dehydration can be a leading cause of dark circles. Try to get at least eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day. If you find this hard to do just be sure you have a glass or bottle of water with you at all times, it will be a subtle reminder to drink more.

A lack of sleep can be a major cause of dark circles as well. When the body is not getting adequate sleep, the skin suffers as it begins to appear tired and worn out. Try to get about 8 hours of sleep a night, and try to stay on a regular sleep schedule.

A couple natural treatments to try are cucumber slices, or cold chamomile teabags. Both of these have cooling agents to reduce puffiness, and vitamins to produce circulation which will help in reducing dark circles. Try taking cucumber slices or two cold chamomile teabags and lay down with some calming music and relax for about 15 minutes, repeat this as often as you’d like and you should see results within the first few times.

And lastly, try to eat a well balanced diet and maintain a regular exercise regimen. Remember a healthy appearance starts from the inside. Staying healthy and treating your body right will allow your skin to glow and radiate your inner health.
