Ross devised the Daytona South Golf Course, an affordable municipal course at Daytona Beach Golf and Country Club. The South Course offers 6,229 total yards with a par of 71.0, with Blue, White, and Red tees laid out for various skill levels. The South Course rating is 69.8 with a slope of 118. The 18-hole Daytona North Course, opened in 1966, was designed by Amos “Slim” Deatherage, and redesigned in 1997 by Lloyd Clifton. The North Course presents 6,338 total yards of golf for a par of 72, with Blue, White, Gold, and Red tees. The North Course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope of 120. The South Course has an unique obstacle as it actually crosses the Florida East Coast Railway track, while the North Course has more water hurdles. Both courses are bordered by native live oaks, Florida pines, and palm trees. Along with the two parkland golf courses, the club presents a lighted 15-tee driving range, practice putting green, a fully equipped pro shop where you can shop for golf equipment and apparel, and a full service restaurant. The complex is managed by John Cameron as General Manager, with Brian Jaquet as the onsite Golf Professional and Forrest Ensminger as Course Superintendent. New Smyrna Beach Golf Course is the City of New Smyrna Beach inexpensive municipal golf facility. The 18-hole Course was devised in 1948 by noted golf creator Donald J. Ross, and opened in 1953. Bobby Weed redesigned the course in 2006. The course offers wide, generous fairways, daunting green side bunkers, and some water to vie with. The course is bordered by live oaks, palm and pine trees and is an inviting challenge. You will occasionally see squirrels, snowy egrets, blue herons, osprey, and redtail hawks around the fields. The 18-hole course offers a total 6,450 yards with a par 72, offering four sets of golf tees (Blue, White, Gold and Red) for various skill levels. The course is rated 70.2 with a slope of 117. A 30-tee driving range is convenient for practice. No spikes are allowed, and EZ-Go electric golf carts are at hand for daily rental. A well stocked pro shop can be found on site, where you can purchase apparel, golf balls and golf clubs. A clubhouse and snack bar – restaurant are onsite as well. The Golf Club at Cypress Head

The Golf Club at Cypress Head is the City of Port Orange affordable municipal golf course, created in 1992 by architects Arthur Hills and Mike Dasher, who used moundings and contours to give players the sense of elevation. The parkland golf course winds through Live Oak and Florida pine trees, with plenty of water obstacles to overcome. Fourteen of the eighteen holes play over water, with ponds, preserved wetlands and natural vegetation. The course exhibits 6,832 yards of golf for a par of 72, with four sets of tees (Black, Blue, White and Red) at one’s disposal for players with different skill levels. The course rating is 72.4 and has a slope rating of 133. A 32-tee driving range is also convenient for practice. Ez-Go electric golf carts are available for daily use. Cypress Head Golf Shop exhibits the latest golf equipment (Callaway, Ping, Pinnacle, Titleist), golf apparel (Antigua, Footjoy), and accessories in the golf industry. Kemper Sports Management, Inc. manages the activities of the facility, with Mike Collins as the General Manager, and Dennis Pickavance as Course Superintendent.
