Taking a crack at clearing the air, Amber Rose recently defended her “Kim [Kardashian] is the home wrecker” statement.
Sitting down with MTV News’ Sway, Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend explained that Star magazine paraphrased a quote she gave them after being told her then-rapper beau and the reality TV star had an affair behind her back.
“Kim is the home wrecker, I’m not the home wrecker. I don’t date men in relationships; I don’t do that to other women,” Amber said. “I got frustrated and I said it.”
The 29-year-old model also blames the Kardashian family for using the media to their advantage. “I feel like Kim and her family, they manipulate the media and they want people to believe what they want them to believe,” she said. “I just had to put the truth out there and I had to get it off my chest.”
“I don’t like to call women names, because I’m about women empowerment. I spoke on my emotions that day,” Amber continued.
Regarding some racy pictures Kim allegedly sent West while he and Rose were still dating, the model-turned-fashion designer refused to comment any further, only adding, “The story, it’s true.”
One thing or person Amber would talk about was NFL star and Kardashian ex Reggie Bush, with whom she admits to rebounding following their respective breakups with Kanye and Kim. “We were both kind of, like, hurt,” she said. “We were each other’s rebounds, basically. It was nothing serious. We didn’t love each other. We just became good friends, basically.”
