A Word of Hope and Encouragement for the 10th Anniversary of September 11

There is hope. There is hope. A hope that surpasses the intelligence of all men and women and that is a Divine hope. As we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of September 11, let’s ask God to give us the strength to forgive those who have hurt us. It is important for us not to continue to be bitter against a group of terrorists. We can’t let those who committed such cruel acts to dominate our inner spirits. One day, they will have to answer to the Almighty God. However, our job is to forgive them like Jesus Christ forgave those who have crucified him.

There is hope. There is hope because the Lord is our hope.

When we are in the midst of chaos, we have to remember to call to the Mighty God because HE is our Hope. When Terrorists seem to take over this world, we must know that Jesus Christ is on our side and all we have to do is call upon His name to deliver us because He said in Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ” There He has given us the liberty to open our hearts to him because he will bring us hope that we cannot find from any man.

September 11th should teach us that even in the midst of a disaster; the Lord’s Name has to be glorified. There is one important virtue of God and that is He is never absent in the midst of tragedies. It has been ten years since the tragedy of September 11, and there are lot of families who would have not made it that far if it were not for the love and the hope of the Almighty God. The same manner that he has given hope to His Son, Jesus Christ, on Calvary and victory over death; it is in the same manner today that He gives us Hope to face the trials and tribulations of this life.

In conclusion, let us put our hope in Him. He, the Almighty God, will never disappoint us because He is a loving God. When the difficulties and the heartaches of this world want to succumb us, let us all first remember that is time to call on the Lord because he is the solution to our problems as we can see in Psalms 23:4. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” This scripture tells us that we don’t have to have any fear even when the shadow of death is upon us because the Lord is our protector and comforter. The prophet Samuel, Himself, took us further by stating the following in 2 Samuel 22 v. 19: “They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support.” That tells us, the terrorists will continue to confront us, but we must rest assured that the Lord is our support.

My dear readers, as we reflect on the tenth anniversary of September 11th, let us encourage one another through our act of caring and generosity and let us ask God to continue to strengthen the family members of the victims. After all, He is the only who can give them hope and peace as they continue to deal with this tragedy.

May God bless you all! And May God Bless the United States of America.

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life;

you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right

hand you save me.” (Psalms 138:7)
