4 Reasons Why You Should Build Your Own PC

Building your own computer is becoming more popular all the time. Building a computer also sounds much more complicated than it actually is, but it’s not always easy for the beginner. There are many step by step guides on how to build your own computer on the internet.

The first reason you should build your own computer is because of money. If you build your own computer you can save yourself a tremendous amount of money and have fun while doing it. Many computer companies overcharge you for a computer that really didn’t cost that much to make. If you buy the components required to build the computer through a good source, the computer you build will cost a lot less than if you were to buy it from a company with the same specs.

Another reason is because of the components in the computer. If you want a computer for gaming, you can build the computer to your exact specifications and your price range. You can customize the computer the exact way you want it without having to pay extra. Sometimes, hardware used by computer companies can be older technology. If you build your own computer, you know that you are getting the latest and greatest. Just like if you plant your own garden, you know exactly where your vegetables are coming from.

The third reason is simply because of the experience. I’m not going to lie, building a computer is a bunch of fun, sure it takes time to plan everything out, but picking out all of your hardware and then assembling the computer is a lot of fun.

Building your own computer makes modding easier. If you ever want to go back into your build and rearrange a few things, you can. Not being able to call tech support can be a bad thing, but if you built the computer it is much easier to figure out what the problem is. When a better graphics card comes out, as long as it is compatible with your mother board, you can just simply change it out.

It definitely pays to research out what you want. Make sure you know what you are going to be using the computer for. If you are going to be using it for gaming, you will need a fairly fast CPU and a good GPU, whereas if you are going to be using it for light internet browsing and email, this is not as important.

Overall, I think building a computer is a much better deal than buying one from a company. Building a computer isn’t for everyone, but with some research a none tech savvy person can easily build a computer.
