The people most likely to be the first to get it, if there isn't enough for all that want it, are pregnant woman, those under 18, and the people with any serous health problems that have weakened immune system. Those already infected can't get the vaccine. When you already have any type flu, you can't then get vaccinated until you have gotten over it and then why would you? People thinking that they have it should get a blood test to see if it's swine flu or a different strain. The doctor can then order medication to help the symptoms, but as with any virus it must run the course. I have heard that Tami-Flu, which is an antiviral, has shortened the symptoms and people say they feel better after taking it, but if they don't have swine flu, an antiviral isn't needed and can only make you feel worse. This is just common sense. Everyone already knows you never take a medication meant for something or someone else. The problem is that some people let common sense and logic out the door when they aren't feeling well. Please check with your GP or doctor if you think you even might be coming down with ANY illness. Then the doctor can take it from there. Chances are they won't want you coming into the office when there are allot of others there to spread it to too. They will most likely ask you if you can come in right before the re-open after lunch or before opening for the day. Then you can remember ahead of time what to do if you start feeling bad. - Q: So I really don't trust the whole swine flu vaccine that they have out. I just really don't think there's been enough testing on it (even though, yes they make a different vaccine every year since there are different strains that pop up every year for the regular flu) and there have been some pretty serious side effects. I consider myself to be a fairly healthy person. I've only ever gotten the seasonal flu twice in my life (I'm 19) and I've only gotten the vaccine for it twice, (seperate years) but only because my grandpa and aunt had cancer and we didn't want to chance it by them getting the flu. I was born really premature, at 24 weeks (three months early) so I only have half the air sacs in my lungs that normal people have. I have had strep throat a lot in my life (I had it 6 times in the course of 4 months when I was 12) and I did have asthma when I was littler, but got over it when I was about 4 I think and don't have it anymore. I have also had a yeast problem in the past. Other than that I don't think there is anything 'abnormal' about me in the medical terms of things. My mom really wants me to get the swine flu vaccine, but as I said before, I don't trust it. Now, instead of bitching at me for not wanting to get it/not trusting it etc. etc. I just want some opinions on whether I should get it or not. - Q: We all want to do what's best for our loved ones. Please forward the most recent side-effects being reported by the first recipients of the new H1N1 flu vaccines and Tamiflu. They are listed below. They are not being reported in the 'main-stream' media. We owe it to ourselves to share the experiences of real people. It's now becoming evident that 50+ year olds are displaying immunity to the N1H1 virus because they have been exposed to these strains of flu in the past (they are not new!), and their body has naturally created antibodies. The flu symptoms of this strain have been relatively mild compared to other flus people have overcome. Most stay home a few days, with different levels of discomfort and overcome naturally. Of course more serious symptoms may warrant further examination, but we should be informed. How were cases of flu treated before these untested vaccines/drugs were created? Most of us have had some type of flu growing up, and our parents didn't have toxic drugs administered to us at the urging of the medical community. We were told by our doctors to let the flu 'run its course'. We have developed antibodies, as our bodies naturally healed. Apart from side-effects and long-term health dangers, these drugs can hamper our bodies ability to naturally fight disease. Many informed doctors and health practitioners are advocating, "relax and just stay home". In contrast, it's being reported that some doctors are now diagnosing swine flu, even if you don't have it, just to keep the numbers and 'fear' level going (particularily in the US), and to utilize the mutli-million dollar drugs, which governments have pre-ordered using our tax dollars - which they must now utilize 'wisely'. Proper trials and testing were abandoned in the case of the push for H1N1 vaccines. It's now believed the symptoms of this relatively mild flu are far less severe than the side-effects of these drugs. M 03 1.5 days 10/22/2009Email 1 Influenza A (possible H1N1) My niece had "normal" flu symptoms, moderate fever, chills, mild nausea, mild headache and mild cough for a day and a half then went to the doctor because the school was worried it was Swine Flu and told my sister my niece would need to be tested and treated before she would be able to return to school. She went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Influenza A and was given Tamiflu. She took her first dose at 4:00 PM today. She will not be taking another dose. 1 hour after taking Tamiflu, she spiked a fever of 103 and began vomiting blood. I researched and found that yes, in severe cases vomiting blood was being reported with Swine Flu, however, this child was ill with what anyone has experienced with a "run of the mill" type flu. It wasn't until right after taking the Tamiflu did she become VERY ill. PLEASE do your research, let
