- What are the H1N1 (Swine Flu) Virus Stages?
- Q: For those who have or have had H1N1:I have been researching this for some time now and hear so many different things regarding this virus. My daughter became ill with H1N1 on Monday September 28th and was officially diagnosed on Thursday. Her doctor was unable to provide Tamaflu to her because of a shortage in the 60mg dose. However he stated he felt she was near the end of it. I realize it lasts 7-10 days and currently we are on day 4-5. Her symptoms are now slightly different and I have alerted her doctor to them they are: Diarreah, Stomach Ache, Medium Head Ache. The head ache has not gone away and no pain meds help, her stomach we are treating with Pepto as directed. I guess I am wondering what is the frist stage of H1N1 and what are the latter parts nearing the end. Her fever has subsided for 2 days now. It began abruptly with a 104 fever for 2 days fever would not break, flu like symptoms, no diarreah and has progessed downward until the diarreah hit.

- Q: I am normally healthy in school from the beginning of the day, after Period 1 I go to HomeRoom, my classmate claims he has the Swine Flu, and hes constantly coughing, so I try to cover my nose / mouth but he accidentally coughed on me, and I think I contracted it. Come Period 4 Im coughing like a mad house...I get a cough drop, it cools down...It comes back once the cough drop is gone...I went home for lunch (After Period 4), I'm still coughing crazily, when I was leaving to return to school my cough got really bad and I start throwing up all over...I decided to stay home the rest of the day and sleep...Now around 5:00PMish, I get a very bad sore throat and everything I eat / drink tastes very bad...I also keep getting random migraines, so...do you think I have it? And what should I do?
