Head of the federal CDC is now advertising for the companies that make H1N1 vaccine? Is this possible?
Q: In ref to the hype in this advertisement for the H1N1 flu vaccine:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/10/09/AR2009100903216.html?hpid=moreheadlinesThe head of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, Anne Schuchat, advertising for the companies that want to sell 195 million vials of their H1N1 vaccine says, "Vaccine against flu is the best way to protect yourself . . . and those around you." Is this a "fact" or is this her opinion? I would think a government official would tell the public a healthy immune system is the best defence against any strain of the flu virus. This article admits, "most of the children who have died have had other health problems that made them PARTICULARLY VULNERABLE [my emphasis], such as asthma, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy..." There is no real evidence that what she is saying, what this article suggests, and the panic they are encouraging is really meaningful if the large majority of people (including children) recover from H1N1 without the need for a flu vaccine of any kind. The flu vaccine is NOT 100% effective, and the vaccine usually causes flu-like symptoms for up to several days anyway (they call them "side effects"). In fact, because the nasal spray form of the vaccine contains live H1N1 virus (they call it "weakened") pregnant women are urged not to get it. If Schuchat is not simply advertising for the vaccine companies, what the heck is she talking about? In an attempt to reassure the public, in one isolated paragraph this article says, "Additional data from federal studies testing the vaccine have found no evidence of any unusual risks..." But that doesn't mean that evidence doesn't exist. It means evidence hasn't been found, and it won't be found unless they do the right test to find it! Additionally, there has not been enough time to do any type of long term study. Plus, the vaccine still contains Thimerosal, which is a controversal toxic mercury substance. Then the article ends with, "Although the virus causes mild illness for most people, some people become seriously ill, requiring intensive care to try to save them. 'Unfortunately, we do expect more illness, including more hospitalizations and deaths, to be occurring in the weeks ahead,' she [Schuchat] said." Is it not obvious that her choice of words and how this article is written is designed to encourage panic so that you'll run out and get the H1N1 flu vaccine before you're too late and end up dead?Mellisa: Excellent. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Now to only prove someone in the CDC is getting a kickback...
A: I"ve got two words for ya:Rumsfeld + Tamiflu++++++++++++++++++Who Owns the rights on Tamifluby Joseph Mercolawww.mercola.comFinally, the pieces of the puzzle start to add up. Not long ago, President Bush sought to instill panic in this country by telling us a minimum of 200,000 people will die from the avian flu pandemic, but it could be as bad as 2 million deaths in this country alone. This hoax is then used to justify the immediate purchase of 80 million doses of Tamiflu, a worthless drug that in no way shape or form treats the avian flu, but only decreases the amount of days one is sick and can actually contribute to the virus having more lethal mutations. So the U.S. placed an order for 20 million doses of this worthless drug at a price of $100 per dose. That comes to a staggering $2 billion. We are being told that Roche manufactures Tamiflu and, in a recent New York Times article, they were battling whether or not they would allow generic drug companies to help increase their production. But if you dig further you will find that a drug was actually developed by a company called Gilead that 10 years ago gave Roche the exclusive rights to market and sell Tamiflu.Ahh, The Plot Thickens...If you read the link below from Gilead, you'll discover Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was made the chairman of Gilead in 1997.Since Rumsfeld holds major portions of stock in Gilead, he will handsomely profit from the scare tactics of the government that is being used to justify the purchase of $2 billion of Tamiflu.http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=1148
H1N1 Swine Flu Nasal Vaccine?
Q: 2 of my 3 kids and my wife took the nasal swine flu vaccine. The 3rd kid is scheduled to take the nasal very soon. I have had a seasonal shot but not the H1N1 vaccine yet. I have read the nasal vaccine is weakened live viruses which cannot grow. Can someone that received the nasal vaccine spread it to others and if so what would the person infected with the weakened virus symptoms be? Would the person infected by a person that received the nasal vaccine get worse symptoms then someone who received the vaccine or would they basically have the same symptoms (if any) of those that took the vaccine? Thanks
A: here in Australia we give the swine flu vaccine just as any other vaccine, and certainly not up the nose. Your doctor my do a nose swab to test for swine flu but wont give you a shot in your nose where would the needle inject the vaccine? It would just run straight out or make you sneeze it out. The vaccine is not a live vaccine which means, no you cant pass swine flu on to other people just because you have been immunized. How about going to a doctor that just does it normally with a shot in your arm. I have never ever in my 10 of working in medical heard of a vaccine being administered by a nasal shot. Children under 10 have also been advised by New South Wales Health not to be immunized until after they are 11years of age.
17 Weeks Pregnant - My obgyn is against the H1N1 vaccine...should I still take it?
Q: When I asked my doctor if I should get the vaccine, she seemed quite against it. She said the swine flu has been around before its nothing new. When she gave it to a patient in the 70s, they developed Guillain-Barré syndrome and became paralyzed. Yikes! She was not supportive of the vaccine at all. I live on a small island of 70,000 people and so far 2 people have died from H1N1 and 11 people hospitalized. The authorities refuse to provide info as to the situation surrounding the deaths so we don't even know if they got the swine flu here on the island or brought it back with them from abroad. They say its not an epidemic on the island yet but if it were to come, it wouldn't take long to get around to the majority of the population considering our size, 21 square miles.I AM SO CONFUSED. I can insist on getting the shot but now i'm afraid. Also, I don't know if the vaccines we're getting are rejects or recalls from America. This island is very corrupt and i wouldn't doubt it. I will also be travelling home to Canada when my baby is 6 weeks old for a couple of months so even though the chances of getting swine flu here on the island is low, it may be higher abroad so it would be prudent to get it now in case the epidemic gets worse over the next year. Would you get the shot if you were me?
A: NO- i would not get it. I think you should definitely listen to your doctor. I live in China right now and another American friend of mine is pregnant, and she's not getting the vaccine either because she can't be sure about it's quality. I say, don't do it. Just do your best to prevent infection. Continue washing hands a lot, etc. And it might sound silly- but just stay at home! Don't go to areas where lots of people are and you are more prone to catching something. I think you should just take very good care of yourself and not get the vaccine.I know if you were in Canada or America where you feel safer about the vaccine and can trust the quality of it, then that would be a different story and I would probably advise you to do it. But since you're not, and you can't honestly say you know exactly what it is they would give you, AND your MD advised against it, I'd go with NO.
