Local theater
If you hold an appreciation for a live show, look into your local listings for a play from a local theater. Try a high school first. Not only will it be fun, it may only cost you around $6 a ticket and you will be helping to support your local students as well.
Movie night during the week
Why wait until the weekend to take a date to the movie theater? Not only is it cheaper in many places to go on a weekday verses a weekend, but it’s more peaceful too. The less traffic in the theater, the more time you have to talk, or cuddle during the movie. By calling your local theater, you will be able to find out if they support specials for a certain weeknight, such as half off normal ticket price. You may find yourself only paying $3 a person verses the $6 you may pay on a busier night.
Putt Putt
Without getting too competitive, you may want to try a friendly game of mini golf. Depending on the location and game venue, you may find yourself spending anywhere between $4 and $12 for a night of fun on a miniature golf course. If you go in the evening, you will be able to enjoy the lights and sunset as it is an outdoor game in many places as well.
Ice cream
Taking your date for ice cream is a sweet way of saying you’re interested. Even during the winter months, there are many ice cream shops that are still open year round and allow customers to come inside for a bite to eat. You may spend around $3 to $7 for a treat to share, and the memories you make while you do will be priceless.
Movie night in- reverse date
Try having a reverse date night. If you are at home with the kids, find them a sitter and stay in to watch a movie. Pop some popcorn that will only cost you between $2 and $6, rent a movie of your liking which may be from $1 to $8 and have yourselves a night in of a reverse date!
Ice skating
If you enjoy the outdoors, then ice skating may be the perfect date for you! If your date doesn’t know how to skate, this may also be the perfect chance to spend the $4 to $15 to get close to them by teaching them how!
