‘Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation’ Christmas Shopping Toy Guide

Before Disney and Pixar’s “Cars 2″ aired in theaters, movie-goers got to watch a new animated short entitled “Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation.” Just in time for the “Cars 2″ Blu-Ray and DVD release comes a large collection of Toy Story toys based off the characters and costumes from the short film.

“Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation” Talking Woody Doll

Just like the original talking Woody dolls from the “Toy Story” trilogy, this new one is a replica of the toy in the movies. The Hawaiian Woody doll stands at 16 inches and features his typical cowboy outfit.

Dressed over Woody’s cowboy clothes is a red and white Hawaiian shirt, a blue flowered lei and a straw hat instead of a cowboy hat. The lever in the back of Woody says phrases from the short film including 20 different lines and authentic Hawaiian music.

“Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation” Buzz Lightyear Action Figure

The Buzz Lightyear has been upgraded with extra lights, phrases and accessories. Over Buzz’s spacesuit is a Hawaiian grass skirt, grass leggings and a black beaded necklace. Underneath Buzz’s space dome is a headpiece that matches the grass skirt.

All of Buzz’s buttons feature interactive phrases including his classic lines like “To Infinity and Beyond!” He stands at 12 inches and has multiple points of articulation.

Barbie and Ken “Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation” 2-Pack

There have been plenty of tropical Barbie and Ken dolls, but this 2 pack is modeled after the couple from “Toy Story 3″ and the short film “Hawaiian Vacation.” The two dolls are dressed in Hawaiin clothes and include faux-candy necklaces with pastel colored candy designs.

The packaging includes a nice Hawaiian sunset that can be cut out and used as a prop to play with the toys.

Buzz and Woody Vacation Giftpack

Anyone who owns the “Toy Story 3″ mini toys can add to their collection with this seven character collection. Included in the set are Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jesse, Rex, Alien, Hamm and Trixie. All of the small characters have little Hawaiian details that add the tropical touch.

The figures have limited movement and would make a great décor display for a children’s bedroom or dresser.

All of the “Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation” toys are sold exclusively at Toys ‘R Us, but other retailers have bought stock and made them available online.
