Tidepool Terrors

The Ocean Institute will present Tidepool Terrors, its annual Halloween event, on Sunday, October 30, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The day features trick-or-treating throughout the Institute, listening to scary stories from a pirate ghost and making a creepy critter crafts.

Explore our spooky science labs including Tidepool Terrors (how tidepool creatures camouflage), Vampires of the Deep (deep-sea adaptations), and the Ghastly Goo Science Lab (ocean conservation). Cost is included with regular weekend admission price, which is $6.50 adults, $4.50 children (ages 4-12). Children in costume are free and eligible for the Kids’ Costume Contest. Prizes awarded for the Scariest, Best Ocean-Themed and Most Eco-Friendly costumes.

Founded in 1977, the Ocean Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean preservation through education, setting the standard for educational excellence and serving as a leading resource for universities, museums, teachers and all others seeking to increase their knowledge of the ocean.
