The Lines of Right and Wrong

Children are taught right from wrong, and lines are so defined

Teens will learn that fact’s not so true, when they’re in a bind

The first time we cross this line, our mind gives us no peace

We live those days with guilt, wanting the feeling to cease

Time will pass and so does the deed, on to newer things

Adults make plans, chase their dreams, to ride on golden wings

Long forgot those lessons learned when they were not so old

Their lives they lived with no lines and their hearts are so cold

Right only counts to them, when it fits the need at hand

Wrong is explained away, everyday, across the land

Life ends our deeds are done and we leave this world behind

We’ll stand-alone in judgment; and the lines were defined
