First and foremost I want to make it abundantly clear that I am not condoning child molesters or undermining the victims of this horrible crime. It is a horrific crime that the truly guilty not only should serve time for but get serious professional help for.
However, far too many men have been accused of a crime that scars them, their reputation, future and affects their families. A crime that separates them and marks them worse than murderers. Far too many are being accused of molestation and being predators. It has turned into quite the witch hunt. I will be using true accounts of situations pertaining to this very subject. Names will be withheld to protect the innocent but be assured these are true and factual accounts.
An 18 yr old boy dating a 16 yr old girl. Her father is not pleased at all with the his daughters choice of boyfriends, reports him to the police. He is arrested and found guilty of molestation of a minor. He was put on probation for five years. Amazingly, he married his 16 year old girlfriend and they went on to have 3 children. Unfortunately, he still has to register as a sex offender. All because of a controlling father, or perhaps a father who was overly protective of his daughter. I do wish this supposed “sex offender”, his wife and children the best.
In a small town, waiting for the bus, a man pushes a little girl. He too is marked with a sex offense and arrested. Having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. I’m not condoning pushing little girls or saying he had a right to do so but a sex offense? Please there are much worse criminals out there doing way more than pushing little girls.
A young man living with his girlfriend. She’s 10 yrs his senior and has a teenage girl and an 8 yr old boy. They help a family out by letting them stay with them until they can find their own place. The teenage girl, who has quite the reputation for crying wolf about molestations with her immediate family, conspires with the 11 year old girl staying with her family, to accuse her mother’s boyfriend of molesting her. Writing in a note to her that if she didn’t do it, the teenager would. The teenage girl only wanting to break up her mother’s relationship with her boyfriend. The boyfriend was taken in for interrogation under the guise of “we just want to question you.” Never offered a lawyer, didn’t even know he could have told them no. Hours of interrogation and much vomiting from this young man only saying “if that’s what you want to believe.” Never admitting to something he did not do. The young man moved out of this small town, or run out of this small town, due to threats on his life. The public defender offered to him, was no help in that he believed he was guilty. The young man hired a lawyer, who had all of the evidence proving this young man innocent . The lawyer was $3,000.00 from being paid off when he decided to quit the case. All because of money that could have easily been made in payments. The young man is put on a 5 yr probation under a female probation officer. She, of course, made the stipulations of probation impossible for even a saint to be able to pass. So subsiquently the young man was sent to prison for four years for something he did not do. The teenager went on to have a child, the eleven year old has been passed around from family member to family member because they can’t deal with her. The young man’s lawyer that quit the case has since been disbarred. This young man had been on life time supervision. Such a “predator” like this should never be alone with anyone. Fortunately, the powers that be took away the supervision. Oh and just to let the readers know, this young man also had a baby girl during this time. His first born, he loves dearly, as any decent father would. Because he was not married to the mother, she put the baby up for adoption, on the child’s second birthday, without telling the youg man. The adoption agency sent the child out of state to be adopted without the father’s signature. No, none of this is legal, but what in this account makes any since. To right their wrong, the state wants to take away this young man’s parental rights. All because a teenager wanted to break up her mother’s relationship.
Teachers have lost their jobs, lives have literally been destroyed because of this witch hunt. Please people lets get some sanity back into the system. As I said, I am not condoning the true predators, offenders, and the like but just remember just because they all register doesn’t mean they really are. They may have been just taking a leak at night when there were no kids or anyone around. Reference to Horrible Bosses movie. It happens way more than it should.
